JKIIE

1. Submission

To submit a paper to Journal of the Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers, the author should sign in the manuscript submission and publishing system site (https://www.dbpiaone.com/kiie). Guidelines for submission can be found at Instructions menu in the site. Online submission with a Hangul or a MS Word file is encouraged in order to speed up the review and publication process. The author must consent to transfer copyright through the journal management system. NOTE : For detailed information on the manuscript submission, please consult with the Editor-in-Chief.

2. Research and Publication Ethics

Submission of a manuscript to Journal of the Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers implies that the paper has not been published, and that it is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Authors’ check list and copyright transfer can be found during the submission process via homepage. Authors are recommend to read the “research ethics” document. For any violations on research ethics, Section 8 of this document is strictly applied. For the policies on the research and publication ethics not stated in that document, the journal follows the COPE flow chart proposed by the international standards for editors and authors (http://publicationethics.org/international-standards-editors-and-authors)

3. Withdrawal

Written request via letter or e-mail is required to withdraw a paper under review. The request should be sent to the corresponding Editor or Editor-in-Chief.

4. Manuscripts and Review

Manuscripts should be written in Korean or English. Title page should include the title, the author’s names and addresses. The corresponding author’s address, telephone and fax numbers, and the e-mail address should be given. A paragraph biography, including current status, education, major careers, and research interests, should be stated for each of the authors (refer to the sample title page). Acknowledgements for financial support should be given in the title page. The main text should be arranged as follows : title of the paper, a self-contained abstract not exceeding 150 words, keywords, introduction, main sections, appendix, acknowledgement, and references. Appendices and an acknowledgement are optional. Each page of the main text should be numbered at the bottom center of the page. Use double- spacing throughout the manuscript. Indent the first line of each paragraph. Research letter paper should be denoted by <Research Letter> before the title line, and should not exceed 5 pages in publication format. Research letters are reviewed and published on the decision of editor(s). Otherwise, the submitted manuscript is considered as <Original Research Paper>, which are to be confidentially reviewed by at least 2 anonymous researchers.

5. Numbering

Sections should be numbered decimally. Formulae, if referred to, should be numbered in parentheses on the right.

6. Tables and Figures

Tables should be numbered consecutively and have a self- explanatory title. The title of a table should be placed at the upper center of the table. Figures should be numbered consecutively and have a self-explanatory caption. The caption of a figure should be placed at the bottom center of the figure. Tables and figures may be given on separate pages. In that case, indicate the approximate positions to place them in the main text.

7. Footnote

Use of footnotes is discouraged.

8. References

List only those references that are cited in the text. List references alphabetically by the last name of the first author. Do not number the reference list. References in the text should be cited by the author’s last name and the year of publication, for example, Hwang and Lu (1996). If the reference has more than two authors, cite the first author’s last name followed by et al. and the year of publication. If a reference is not written in English, list it in English using transliteration for proper nouns and translation for common nouns.

For journal references, give the author(s), year of publication, title, journal name, volume, serial number within a volume, and pages. For non-periodical references, give the author(s), year of publication, title, publisher, location of publisher, and pages. Sample references follow :

9. Final Manuscript

After the paper has been accepted for publication, the authors are requested to upload the electronic file of the final manuscript to the manuscript submission and publishing system. The publication fee is 300,000 won per article for up to 10 pages, with an additional charge of 30,000 won per page for exceeding 10 pages. An additional fee of 100,000 won should be paid for including acknowledgement for funding information.

10. Expedited Review

Authors have the option to request expedited review when submitting their paper, and in such cases, they are required to pay 200,000 won per manuscript. JKIIE ensures that the corresponding author will receive the results of the initial review for expedited review requests within a period of two weeks.

1. 제출방법

투고자는 대한산업공학회지 온라인 논문투고관리시스템(https://www.dbpiaone.com/kiie)에 접속하여 논문을 시스템에 명시된 투고절차(온라인 논문투고관리시스템 매뉴얼 참고)에 따라 제출하여야 한다. 원고는 “아래아 글”로 작성된 file을 사용하는 것을 원칙으로 한다. 온라인 투고관리시스템을 통해 저작권 양도에 동의하도록 한다(문의사항은 편집위원장에게 연락바람).

2. 연구윤리규정의 준수의무

본 산업공학회지에의 투고는, 투고되는 논문이 다른 학술지 등에 이미 발표되었거나 게재심사를 받고 있지 않으며, 타 학술지에 중복 투고되지 않을 것임을 투고자가 확인하는 것으로 간주한다. 저자는 대한산업공학회의 “연구윤리규정”을 읽어보기 바라며, 연구부정행위 논문이 발생한 경우의 사후조치는 동 규정 제8조에 명시된 바에 의하여 처리하며, 규정에 명시되어 있지 않은 사항은 COPE flow chart(http://publicationethics.org)를 따른다.

3. 제출 철회

접수된 후 심사과정에 있는 논문의 철회를 저자가 원하는 경우, 저자는 편집위원 혹은 편집위원장에게 서면 혹은 e-mail로 철회를 요청하여야 한다.

4. 원고 및 심사

논문 표지에는 논문제목, 저자명 및 직책, 소속기관, 대표(연락)저자의 주소, 전화 및 Fax번호, e-mail 주소를 기입한다. 각 사항에 대해 반드시 영문을 병기하고, 영문 성명은 이름을 먼저 쓰고 성을 뒤에 쓴다. 또한 표지 샘플을 참고하여 모든 저자의 간단한 약력을 한 단락씩 기입하되, 현직위, 학력, 주요경력 및 관심연구분야를 표기하여야 한다 . 연구비의 지원을 받아 연구가 이루어진 논문의 경우 표지에서 밝힐 수 있다. 표지의 다음 쪽에는 저자에 관한 정보를 기입하지 않고 제목과 150단어 이내의 영문요약(abstract), 영문 key words를 적은 후, 본문, 부록(appendix), 참고문헌(references) 순으로 작성한다. 각 쪽마다 하단 중앙부에 쪽번호(page)를 표시한다. 본문의 줄간 간격은 글을 사용할 때는 180% 이상 혹은 double space로 하며, 상하좌우에 충분한 여백을 둔다. 레터논문은 제목 윗줄에 <Research Letter>로 표시하고 최종 편집 기준으로 5쪽 이내가 되도록 작성한다. <Research Letter>의 게재여부는 편집위원 및 편집위원장이 판정한다. 그 외의 일반논문은 <Original Research Paper>로 간주하며, 2인 이상의 peer- reviewer의 심사의견에 따라 게재 판정한다.

5. 번호매김

절이나 소절은 아라비아 숫자로 1., 1.1, (1) 등으로 표기하며, 수식은 필요한 경우 (1), (2) 등으로 번호매김을 한다.

6. 그림과 표

그림과 표는 제목과 내용을 모두 영문으로 작성한다. 그림은 Figure 1 등으로 표시하며, 그림의 제목은 그림의 아래 중앙에 표기한다. 표는 Table 1 등으로 표시하며 표의 제목은 표의 위 중앙에 표기한다.

7. 각주

각주(footnote)는 사용하지 않는다.

8. 참고문헌

인용된 문헌은 저자명과 연도(괄호 안)를 본문 중에 명시하고, 인용된 문헌들만을 본문 끝 참고문헌 부문에 저자명의 알파벳순으로 일괄 기입한다. 참고문헌의 모든 내용은 영문을 사용한다. 한국어, 일본어, 중국어 등 비영어권의 언어로 작성된 논문을 인용할 경우, 고유명사는 음역(transliteration), 그 외 보통명사 등은 번역(translation)을 통하여 영문 알파벳을 사용하여 기입한다. 학술지의 경우는 저자명, 발행연도, 논문제목, 학술지명, 권, 호, 쪽번호의 순으로 기입하고, 정기간행물이 아닌 문헌의 경우는 저자명, 출판연도, 서명, 출판수(2판 이상의 경우), 쪽번호 또는 장(필요시), 출판사명, 출판지역의 순으로 기입하되, 다음의 예를 따른다.

9. 최종본 제출 요령

논문의 게재가 확정된 경우, 투고요령에 맞게 글로 작성된 최종본 file을 온라인 논문투고관리시스템에 업로드 시켜야 한다. 논문의 연락저자는 논문의 출판 전에 논문 게재료를 학회에 납부하여야 하며, 논문 게재료는 조판된 논문이 10쪽 이하일 때는 편당 정액 300,000원, 10쪽 초과분에 대해서는 쪽당 30,000원을 납부한다. 사사표기 시 추가로 100,000원을 납부한다.

10. 긴급심사

투고자는 논문을 제출할 때 급행심사를 요청할 수 있으며, 급행심사 요청 시 편당 정액 200,000원을 학회에 납부하여야 한다. 대한산업공학회지는 급행심사가 요청된 논문에 대한 1차 심사결과를 연락저자가  2주 이내로 받을 수 있도록 보장한다.
